Andrew Rehrig began his studies of the flute at the age of 11 in Atlanta, GA. He went on to continue studies at Indiana University with Thomas Robertello. While still an undergraduate, Andrew was invited to become a member of the Columbus, IN. Philharmonic Orchestra, a position he held until graduation. Having completed his Masterʼs degree at Stony Brook University under the direction of Carol Wincenc, Mr. Rehrig appears regularly as a substitute flutist on Broadway, as well as with the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the New York Pops, and the Queens Symphony. Andrew is a substitute flutist with the New Haven Symphony, the New World Symphony and the Hawaii Symphony, and served as the guest principal second flutist of the Florida Grand Opera. He has recorded with groups ranging from the Knights to the Dirty Projectors, and has appeared with Barry Manilow, My Brightest Diamond, and Bibi Ferreira, among others. He lives in Brooklyn, NY.
