The Virgin Mary has served as inspiration for artists of all forms, including composers since the earliest days of sacred music. The Tallis Scholars – “the rock stars of Renaissance vocal music” (The New York Times) – return to perform a selection of such inspired works from both the Catholic and Orthodox traditions, ranging from Josquin to Pärt.
