VENUE UPDATE
Due to current access restrictions on Columbia's Morningside campus, the Pop-Up Concert will now be held at The Forum at Columbia University, located on the corner of 125th Street and Broadway

Free admission • Doors open at 5:30PM, music at 6PM
Seating is first-come, first-served.

György Ligeti wrote his Horn Trio in honor of the 150th birthday of Johannes Brahms, whose own horn trio is one of the quintessential works in chamber music. For this Pop-Up, the Takt Trio continues the tradition, performing Ligeti’s monumental work alongside two brand new horn trios by composers Marcos Balter and Hilda Paredes, commissioned for the occasion of Ligeti’s 100th birthday.

A free, hour-long concert where the audience can sit up close and mingle with the musicians and fellow concertgoers after the show
