Katherine Young is a bassoonist and composer whose electroacoustic music explores curious timbres, expressive noises, and kinetic structures. Recognized with awards, fellowships, and commissions from organizations including the Guggenheim Foundation and the Fromm Music Foundation, she performs with her longtime collaborators, Wet Ink Ensemble, in a program spanning six years of boundary-pushing work.
