Bring a friend, grab a drink, and join some of today’s most interesting performers onstage at Miller Theatre on select evenings.
Musical instruments have always had distinct personalities, displaying ferocity, tenderness, and everything in between. This Pop-Up Concert features members of the ensemble investigating the animal behavior of instruments. Duos will explore how instruments camouflage each other’s sound, while the natural and unnatural tendencies of harp, saxophone, and Indian harmonium are studied in solo works. The intimate setting of this Miller Theatre concert is perfect for budding musical zoologists.
All concerts start at 6 p.m. Admission is on a first-come, first-served basis, and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
Major support for Pop-Up Concerts is provided by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Dow Jones Foundation.
