Rachel Doehring Jackson
soprano
Rachel Doehring Jackson has been praised for her “absolutely loveable, endearing...remarkable” performances (Seen and Heard International). In 2025, she was awarded fellowships at the American Bach Soloists Academy and Emmanuel Music’s Bach Institute. In 2024, as a Tanglewood Music Center Fellow, Jackson enjoyed interpreting a wide variety of styles, ranging from Susanna in scenes from Le Nozze di Figaro to Tania León’s In the Field. She was also one of four prize winners in the Bach Choir of Bethlehem’s Biennial Bach Competition for Young American Singers. A sought after choral artist, she has recently performed with groups such as Musica Sacra, The Cathedral Choir of St. John the Divine, and St. Bartholomew’s Choir, where she is a staff soloist and ensemble member.
Jackson was previously a Producer of Resonant Bodies Festival, and excerpts of her self-produced programs have aired on WCNY’s Fresh Ink. She holds degrees from Carnegie Mellon University and Bard College Conservatory, where she was mentored by Dawn Upshaw.
