Orion Weiss

Orion Weiss is one of the most sought-after soloists and chamber music collaborators performing today. He has appeared with major orchestras including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and New York Philharmonic.
In February 2025, Weiss released Arc III, the final album in his recital trilogy, on First Hand Records. His 2024-25 season includes performances with violinist James Ehnes at London’s Wigmore Hall, as well as concerts in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Seattle, Bloomington (IN), and Bergen (Norway). He made his David Geffen Hall debut with the American Symphony Orchestra and performed recitals at the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, Italy’s Teatro Marrucino Biglietteria, Washington University in St. Louis, and was on tour with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. He also appeared at LaMusica Chamber Music Festival in Sarasota, Florida. Recent highlights include a return to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with Michael Tilson Thomas, a debut with the National Symphony, and performances across the U.S.—including appearances at the Kennedy Center, Lincoln Center, and Carnegie Hall’s Zankel Hall—as well as in Canada, and Asia with violinist Augustin Hadelich.
A native of Ohio, Weiss attended the Cleveland Institute of Music and made his debut with the Cleveland Orchestra in 1999. In 2004, he graduated from The Juilliard School. His awards include the Gilmore Young Artist Award, an Avery Fisher Career Grant, and the Classical Recording Foundation’s Young Artist of the Year, among others.
