The 2026-27 Season

Miller Theatre, under the exuberant leadership of Executive Director Melissa Smey, announces a premiere-filled 2026-27 season—an invigorating mix of new music, early music, and jazz, as well as the free programs Morningside Lights and Pop-Up Concerts.

  Concert premiere of Farrin's new opera Macabéa
  with Talea Ensemble, Charlotte Mundy, Christopher Herbert
• SAM PLUTA (2/4)
  The composer/electronic sound artist joins Yarn/Wire for three works
  spanning 17 years, incl. a world premiere Miller commission
• KATHERINE YOUNG (3/25)
  The electroacoustic composer/bassoonist joins Wet Ink Ensemble for a program featuring a world premiere Miller commission
• CLARA IANNOTTA (4/8)
  International Contemporary Ensemble brings the Italian, Berlin-based composer's richly tactile sound world to life, incl. a world premiere Miller commission

• JENNIFER KOH undertakes the complete Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin

free workshops & outdoor procession featuring a vast quilt of handmade lanterns
