In what is quickly becoming a beloved annual tradition, we’ll partner with our friends at the Arts Initiative to illuminate Morningside Park once more with an incredible display of community creativity. Visiting artists Alex Kahn and Sophia Michahelles return to Miller Theatre to lead a week of free art-making workshops, open to all, and culminating in an illuminated procession through the park on Saturday, September 27. This year, our theme shares in a campus-wide celebration of African American artist Romare Bearden and his 1977 collage series A Black Odyssey, inspired by Homer’s timeless epic. Workshops start Saturday, September 20. For more information, including the full schedule, or to sign up to participate, visit www.morningside-lights.com.
