Showcasing a quintessentially American art form, Miller Theatre’s Jazz series presents concerts by both renowned and emerging composers, bandleaders, and musicians.
In the 2014-15 season, we welcome back four groups that previously enchanted Miller audiences with their dazzling improvisations and infectious energy. These artists draw inspiration from a variety of sources—gospel and bebop, West Africa and Harlem—to make this uniquely American art form their own. Soaring solos on piano, guitar, and vibraphone will entwine with hard-rocking bass and drums as the whole band lets loose.
