THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED IN A PREVIOUS SEASON!

Some of Bach's most beautiful music alludes to pastoral settings. By using or imitating rustic instruments (oboe and recorder, bagpipe and hurdy-gurdy), Baroque composers filled their works with references to shepherds, echoing valleys, and folk-music. Don’t miss your only chance this season to hear Vivaldi’s Four Seasons reorchestrated for hurdy gurdy and musette—a joyous hoe-down epitomizing the Baroque vogue for “country music!”
