Columbia Ballet Collaborative (CBC) is pleased to present a program of five original works as well as a restaging of Jerome Robbins’ Antique Epigraphs for its upcoming spring performances. Founded in 2007 by five professional ballet dancers enrolled at Columbia University, CBC is comprised of students from all of the University’s undergraduate colleges and affiliates.
For the spring 2018 season, Columbia Ballet Collaborative welcomes Miro Magloire, founder and artistic director of New Chamber Ballet; Caili Quan, dancer with contemporary ballet company BalletX; Michele Wiles, former American Ballet Theater principal and founder of BalletNext; and Allegra Herman, Columbia University student pursuing a B.A. in French Language and Literature. This season is also the pilot of our new choreographic mentorship program where student choreographer Connor Yockus will create a piece with the guidance of former CBC choreographer Amy Hall Garner. Finally, we are proud to present a restaging of Antique Epigraphs by the American choreographer, director, dancer and theater producer Jerome Robbins to celebrate the centennial of his birth.
