Sumi Tonooka is one of the leading jazz pianists of her generation, described as a “fierce and fascinating composer and pianist” (Jazz Times), with solo and trio recordings, chamber and orchestral commissions, and more than a dozen film scores to her credit. A consummate performer of original music as well as arrangements of jazz standards, Tonooka will present an hour-long solo piano performance.
