The only venue of its kind on the Columbia campus, Miller Theatre is home to a wide variety of events produced by University schools, departments, centers, and faculty.
We start our University collaborations each fall with Morningside Lights. Co-produced with the Arts Initiative, this is a participatory art-making workshop culminating in a lantern procession in Morningside Park. Hundreds of Columbians and community members come together every September to create the fleet of large-scale, illuminated sculptures, inspired by a new theme each year.
With a seating capacity of 688, the theater is ideal for performances, lectures, screenings, and other events.
