Barnard / Columbia Dances

            Barnard and Columbia students perform in new works, including “Treefrog in Stonehenge” by dance iconoclast and Barnard alumna Twyla Tharp (’63); a new contemporary work by Andrea Miller, the rising star choreographer and Artistic Director of Gallim Dance; and a new ballet by Robert LaFosse, the former Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre and New York City Ballet and current Department of Dance faculty member.  The program will also feature the “Lamentation Variations,” a suite of student choreography inspired by the artistry of modern dance pioneer Martha Graham and mentored by members of the Martha Graham Dance Company.
