Campus Partnerships Columbia Ballet Collaborative THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED IN A PREVIOUS SEASON! The Columbia Ballet Collaborative (CBC) proudly presents a dynamic collection of contemporary ballet works in its Miller Theatre Debut. CBC, founded in September 2007 by five professional ballet dancers enrolled at Columbia, is made up of students from all four of the University's undergraduate colleges and various graduate programs. This student-organized, student-directed, and student-danced program brilliantly combines student creative energy with professional quality. CBC's Miller Theatre Debut will feature works by professional choreographers Emery LeCrone, Brian Reeder, Bonnie Scheibman, Pam Tanowitz, and Bruce Wood, and student choreography by Cassia Phillips, Justin Peck, and Kimi Nikaidoh. This concert is part of Miller Theatre's Columbia Performers Partnership. This Partnership supports CU student performing arts groups by providing performance space, production assistance, and marketing services. The partnership promotes young artist development, fosters interdepartmental collaboration, and shares Columbia University's artistic talents with a broader audience. "Sponsored [in part] by the Arts Initiative at Columbia University. This funding is made possible through a generous gift from The Gatsby Charitable Foundation." |
