THIS EVENT HAS ALREADY OCCURED IN A PREVIOUS SEASON! Six years ago the Vox Vocal Ensemble undertook a two-year-long research project to rediscover and restore the music of Tudor master Robert Parsons (c. 1530-1572). The fruit of the project was a complete online edition of his work, along with MP3s and live performances—much of the music performed for the first time in centuries. Vox now revisits this glorious music in preparation for a commercial recording, performing newly reconstructed works and revised editions restored to their ancient glory. |
